Omg… So I have a huge opportunity next month (can’t wait to share) and it has truly inspired me to stop playing small and have the courage to publish my first Pattern Collection. I’ve had these dreams of becoming a Surface and Textile Designer since walking into Borders in the early 2000’s and being inspired by all the amazing journals and pens with the most beautiful illustrations on them.

I have to admit, though I had intentions on working on this collection this year and developing my art practice, It was this opportunity that really motivated me to get my ducks in a row. Something about presenting oneself and feeling confident in not only who I am as an artist, but the body of work I’ve been working on in between the margins of my life. Plus, your girl turned 40 this year and its just time to quadruple down on my dreams and stop playing small.

I would love to be so much further as a budding suface designer but I am so happy with where I am starting. I can’t wait to share the finished collection which contains a body of sketches and ideas I’ve worked on throughout my life. Launching October 27 in memory of my brother LaVel.

And yes… I have not forgot about the etsy store which I promise will be coming in the new year. And Twitch.. I think im ready to come back and share some of the pattern ideas and projects I’ve been working on! I seriously can’t wait to crochet with you in November!
